Sometimes you just want to put on a playlist and zone out without staring at a grid of album covers.
That’s why I built Ambient Mode.
1. Entering Ambient Mode
Go to the Settings tab and click Enter Ambient View.
The whole dashboard (the search bar, the song cards, the categories) disappears. All that’s left is the dynamic background and the player controls at the bottom of the screen.
2. The lyric waterfall
While Ambient Mode is on, the app quietly looks through your whole Vault in the background and picks random synced lyric fragments and ad-libs from your songs.
Those fragments show up at the bottom of the screen as chat bubbles that float upward, with the artist’s profile picture next to the lyric and its translation.
It makes a good screensaver for a second monitor or a TV.
Set up an ambient session
Add songs with lyrics to your Vault and make sure the artist and translation information you want to see is available before entering Ambient View. The background canvas can draw lyric fragments and supporting artist details from the local library; it is a companion display, not a replacement for the selected song’s regular timed lyrics.
Open Settings and choose Enter Ambient View, then use the normal player controls to start or change playback. Exit Ambient View through its return control when you want the dashboard back. Because the source material comes from this browser’s Vault, a small library or tracks without lyrics will offer fewer fragments.
