Here are some common problems and how to fix them.
1. Missing artist images
Sometimes an artist image loads as a broken image or a gray placeholder. That usually means the website hosting the image doesn’t allow it to be shown in PlanetMusic.
- The fix: Click Manage Artists on the song panel and paste a different image URL, ideally from a site that allows it, like Wikipedia or Imgur.
Album covers can’t be changed in PlanetMusic. Only artist images can.
2. Deezer buffering loops
If you’ve entered a Deezer ARL but the audio just spins and says “Buffering stream” forever, check these:
- Your ARL token may have expired. They usually last a few months.
- You might have copied the wrong cookie. Make sure it’s the cookie named exactly
arl. - Go to Settings, paste a fresh ARL, and click Verify Token Status.
3. Empty search results
If Cosmos search finds nothing for a very famous song, Apple’s search might just be confused by the way the title is written.
- The fix: Search with just the artist name, or remove terms like “(Remastered)” or “(feat. XYZ)” from your query.
Narrow down the problem
For a missing artist image, verify the pasted URL in a new tab and use a direct image address rather than a search page. Some image hosts block embedding or require a session, so try another host if the preview remains broken. This is separate from album artwork, which comes from the selected catalog track.
For Deezer, first verify that the ARL is entered in Settings and use Verify Token Status. If the token is rejected or the backend cannot provide audio, refresh the credential through the service you are authorized to use; never share it in a support message. For search, simplify the query and compare the artist/title spelling. Catalog results depend on the external providers, so a missing match is not proof that a track is absent from your Vault.
